Characteristics: high chemical stability, good hygienic performance and high heat resistance. Microwave tableware can be selected from plastic products marked with PP.

The polymer can have three stereostructures: isotactic, syndiotactic, and atactic polypropylene, the first two being crystalline and the latter not. Commercially available polypropylene products are basically the same structure, melting point 164 ~ 170 degrees Celsius, crystalline part density of 0.935 g / cm3, non-clean part of 0.851 g / cm3.

The biggest disadvantage of PP is that it is easy to oxidize and age. It is now overcome by adding an antioxidant and an ultraviolet light absorber.

Polyester (PET) applications: plastic beverage bottles, medicine bottles, cosmetic bottles, oil bottles and various caps, insulation caps.

Features: good transparency, not easy to break, good chemical stability, suitable for a variety of liquid or solid pharmaceutical packaging. It has good shielding properties against ultraviolet rays.

Toxicity: Non-toxic.

So far, no better or better packaging materials have been found to replace PET plastic bottles. PP bottles are mainly one-step injection and two-step heating. Generally, a 0.1%-0.4% sorbitol xylene nucleating agent is added to a PP plastic bottle, and a high-lumen PP plastic bottle can be produced by blowing, blowing, injecting, kneading, and the like. PP plastic bottles have good temperature resistance, bottle shape is sensitive, safety, hygiene and content taste are inferior, and the price is cheaper than PET, PS, PE and other materials. The use of PP plastic bottles in beverage packaging stores has gradually approached PET bottles. The development of modified resins, anti-reflecting agents and mechanical equipment skills has enabled PP containers to replace glass, PET and PVC containers, and has broad prospects for shopping malls.
